DISCOVERY: Raleigh Moncrief

The average day brings nothing really new to me in terms of music. However, every once in a while I find something that really catches my attention. I first read about Raleigh Moncrief in The 405 and I said to myself, "eh...why not give it a try." So, I painstakingly searched for the album Carpal Tunnels and finally came upon Bandcamp, where I could hear the album for free. I was absolutely blown away. I love this very different solo project by Raleigh Moncrief, a guy known for his "math/rock" guitar playing and engineering on Dirty Projector's classic Bitte Orca. This is a record that most people will not hear, but it certainly deserves a listen. Enjoy!
